Bread Making

There is nothing more enjoyable than baking your own bread. Not only do you get the enjoyment of eating something that you have made, but you have total control of what goes into it. This to me is important. As a diabetic I want total control over my diet and this means what I eat.

Pastry

I make a pastry using any of my bread recipes with the following exception. I use:- 1 cup of flour and basically reduce everything by a quarter Instead of sugar and yeast I use 1 tablespoon of baking power. I use my bread maker to mix the pastry, on mine it is menu 8, dough

Corn Bread

This is my version of American Corn Bread.   Ingredients: 1 Cup of sweet corn canned, frozen or fresh. 1 cup of flour, I use bread flour. (Gluten free flour can be used.) 1/3 cup oat bran. 1 serve boiled pumpkin. 1 serve boiled sweet potato. 2/3 cup of water. I teaspoon of bread yeast.

APPLE and PINEAPPLE BREAD
